I got this information from the wonderful Cynthia Crane via email this morning, and want to pass it on to you.  If you are in the NYC area, this would be a fantastic event to attend!  What a clever idea especially the first event–to introduce a wider audience to cabaret entertainment–well done!



THURSDAY, MAY 17, 7:30 pm –“That Could Be Arranged”  with musical director Tedd Firth and vocalists CYNTHIA CRANE, Amy Dolan Fletcher, Diane Hoffman, Susan Winter with demos of interpretative style followed by “Meet The Artists” (& on sale, CD bargains)


This is really exciting!!!!  A real Festival of Cabaret and what a fabulous line-up of superb Cabaret Performers.
No Cover / No Minimum!!!!!!  The train from Penn Station to Long Beach takes less than an hour!

Artists in Partnership Presents 10th Annual Cabaret Festival
Honoring the Great American Songbook in Long Island, NY
May 16 – May 20, 2012
Long Beach Library Hosts Live Performances and Special Events

(Long Beach, NY, April 20, 2012) – Artists in Partnership (AIP), a non-profit cultural arts organization, will host its 10th Annual Cabaret Festival May 16-20 at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY.   All performances are free to the public. The festival will be a celebration of the cabaret genre honoring the Great American Songbook with performances by renowned local and New York City-based artists.

Event: Wednesday, May 16, 7:30 pm  “Why Cabaret and the American Songbook?
Thursday, May 17, 7:30 pm “That Could Be Arranged”
Friday, May 18, 7:30 pm “Daydream”
Saturday, May 19, 2 pm “Cabaret Conversations”, 7:30 pm “A Tribute to Marilyn Maye”
Sunday, May 20, 1:30 pm “Billie Remembered”, 3:30 pm “The Dog-Walking Diva”

This event is made possible with public funds from the Long Beach Public Library.   Schedule is subject to change
