A Great Tip For Cabaret Flyer Creation

Happy New Year!  Hope you get many gigs and performance opportunities in this fantastic New Year.

We are preparing for an upcoming Puddin’ River Jazz Band Performance at the Mardi Gras Party for the Portland Jazz Society in February! More on this to come on our “Upcoming Performances” page shortly.

I ran across an interesting video on you tube that an actor put together to help actors create better acting resumes, but the information also applies well to the layout of your cabaret flyers.  The next time you have an upcoming gig and are staring at a blank computer screen, remember these tips:

1.  Divide the page into quadrants.

2.  The most important information should go in the upper left and lower right quadrants, with the upper right quadrant being next most important.  It follows the way most people skim a page of text or advertising.
